Anna is widely admired for her “impeccable Baroque style” and “vocal control…artistry and musico-dramatic intelligence". Her voice is variously described as sumptuous, flexible, silvery-toned, crystal and spine-tingling.
Born in Dublin, Anna Devin sings regularly at the world’s leading opera houses including Covent Garden, Opernhaus Zurich, Glyndebourne Festival and Teatro Real Madrid. She is known for her interpretation of leading ladies, notably Clotilde (Handel's Faramondo), for which she won a Helpmann Award, Semele (Handel's Semele) - "sparkling like the best champagne", Cleopatra (Handel's Giulio Cesare) - “one of the finest London has heard”, Susanna (Mozart Le Nozze di Figaro) - “the Susanna of your dreams”.
In addition to her work on stage, Ms Devin is proud to be an Ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association. She is passionate about nurturing new talent and has given masterclasses at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, as well as coaching at the Royal Academy Opera Course, London.
